Exciting Milestone: The First Meeting of the Impact Family Advisory Board

Dear Friends and Partners,

We are thrilled to announce a monumental moment in the journey of Impact Family! On September 8th, 2024, at 6:00 PM, we held our very first Advisory Board Meeting, where our Spirit-filled, multicultural, and professionally diverse team came together to discuss the future of this ministry. This meeting was nothing short of extraordinary—a divine appointment filled with purpose, vision, and unity.

A Foundation of Faith and Fellowship

We kicked off with an opening prayer, led by Jack Hakimian, followed by heartfelt introductions. It was clear from the start that God’s hand was upon this meeting, knitting together individuals passionate about seeing Impact Family grow and flourish.

Jhael Hakimian outlined the purpose of the meeting, and from there, we launched into a powerful reflection on the 7-year journey of Impact Family—highlighting the life-transforming services we’ve provided, including counseling, premarital guidance, and couples intervention retreats. What made the night truly special was the shared vision of integrating spiritual and physical wellness, something that has been at the core of our mission from the beginning.

Reflecting on the Past, Moving into the Future

As Jack and Jhael shared the history and growth of Impact Family, it became clear just how far God has brought us. In seven years, we’ve touched countless lives through over 1,200 counseling sessions, 15 couples intervention retreats, and hundreds of premarital counseling sessions. And now, we are on the brink of even greater things.

Expansion plans took center stage as we discussed moving into a new office space and developing a counseling training center. We are excited to announce that Impact Family is growing from five to eight offices, allowing us to serve more clients, host more retreats, and provide more life-changing support.

However, with expansion comes challenges. We are facing legal challenges with our current landlord, but our faith remains steadfast. God is opening doors for us to secure new spaces for growth, and with the support of our incredible advisory team, we know He will provide everything we need.

A Strategic Approach to Sustainability

In addition to the expansion, we reviewed our sustainable funding model, which has enabled us to continue serving the community through fee-for-service counseling while also providing scholarships to those in need. Partnerships with churches have been vital, and we are committed to strengthening these connections as we move forward. One exciting development is our use of technology and automation, which has helped us increase efficiency without sacrificing the personal, spiritual touch that defines Impact Family.

Advisory Team: Unity in Diversity

One of the most exciting moments of the night was the formal call to form our advisory team. This group will be a key part of Impact Family’s success, providing spiritual and professional guidance. The board will be filled with financial experts, prayer warriors, and leaders who are committed to helping us grow responsibly and effectively.

The team rallied around us, offering words of encouragement and support, which uplifted Jack during a vulnerable moment of expressing his doubts and struggles. Their encouragement was a beautiful reminder that we are not walking this path alone. God has surrounded Impact Family with people who share our vision for transformation.

Key Commitments and Action Steps

The meeting closed with powerful commitments and action items:

• Jack Hakimian will be connecting with each advisory board member, closing on the lease for our new building, and moving forward with the legal process for our current location.
• Zach D. offered his help with painting and preparing the new office space, while Joe R. will provide support with securing insurance for the building.
• Nate S. committed to discussing further ways to provide support to Impact Family in the coming days.

We ended the meeting with a prayer led by Jimmy Pertil, giving thanks for the unity, guidance, and vision God has provided.

Moving Forward Together

This first advisory meeting was more than just a gathering—it was the beginning of a new season for Impact Family. With a growing advisory team, a new office space, and plans for future retreats and counseling centers, we are moving boldly into our next chapter. Together, with God’s grace and your support, we will continue to transform lives and empower families through the healing power of Christ.
