Ephesians 4:26-27 advises, “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” This passage recognizes that while anger is inevitable, it must not lead to sin or linger within us.

Steps in God’s Anger Management Program

1. Acknowledgment and Reflection

The first step in managing anger, according to biblical teachings, is to acknowledge it without judgment. Psalm 4:4 says, “Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.” This introspection allows us to understand the roots of our anger and address the underlying issues rather than just the symptoms.

2. Slow to Anger

Proverbs 14:29 teaches, “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.” The Bible frequently praises the virtue of slowness to anger. This involves cultivating patience and giving ourselves time to process our emotions before reacting. This pause can prevent the immediate and often regrettable outcomes of hot-tempered responses.

3. Forgiveness

4. Communication and Reconciliation
